Men’s Volleyball Adds Middle Blocker Adam Lundy Ahead of 2026-27 Season

OSHAWA, Ont. - Durham College men's volleyball has added a new presence at the net ahead of the 2026-27 season, welcoming middle blocker Adam Lundy to the program.

Standing 6-foot-4 and bringing a championship pedigree from his years with Unity Volleyball Club, Lundy arrives ready to make an impact for the Lords.

"Adam brings a great combination of size, work ethic and competitiveness to our program," said Head Coach Dwayne Cochrane. "He's coming from a strong club background, he understands what it takes to win and he fits in really well with the culture we're building here. We're excited to help him continue developing his game and contribute to our group."

The Markham, Ontario product is eager to take the next step in his volleyball journey after a standout club career.

His ability to read the game, close blocks and finish quick attacks made him a standout on the court—and an ideal fit for a Durham team that values grit and teamwork.

"What made me choose Durham was simply how the team and coaches were so supportive and welcoming when I first stepped in the gym," Lundy said. "This team is really a great bunch of guys who work hard and treat everyone with respect and dignity."

For Lundy, the decision to commit to Durham College was about more than volleyball. It was about joining a community that matched his values and competitive spirit.

That first impression left a lasting mark and solidified his choice to wear green and gold. As he prepares to transition from club to collegiate volleyball, Lundy is focused on bringing energy to the gym and continuing to grow alongside his new teammates.

Set to graduate from St. Brother André Catholic High School in Markham in a few months, Lundy is set to begin studying Electrical Techniques at the Whitby Campus in September.
