The Lords enter the OCAA Championships having faced a demanding schedule across multiple bonspiels this season. Competing at events hosted by Trent University, the University of Toronto and Mohawk College, Durham was consistently tested against experienced university and college opposition.

On the men's side, Durham showed flashes of strong shot-making and resilience throughout the year, picking up wins against Algoma and Ontario Tech while gaining valuable championship-style experience in tight games that often came down to the final ends.

With a full season of competitive play behind them, the men will look to put together complete games at the right time and make a push during the round robin portion of the championship.

For the women, the 2025-26 campaign has been about developing a program from the ground up. Facing deep and established programs throughout the season, the team gained important experience against some of the strongest competition in Ontario.

Durham continued to compete hard and showed improvement as the season progressed. Each event provided opportunities to refine strategy, communication and consistency, all of which are areas that can pay dividends in a championship environment.

The OCAA Championships offer the Lords a fresh start and a chance to put their growth on display, with every draw presenting an opportunity to challenge elite level competition and finish the season on a strong note.

All eyes will be set on Regina, where the Callie Curling Club will host the 2026 CCAA Curling Championships from February 17-21 in Saskatchewan's capital. The top three teams from both the men's and women's sides will qualify for a spot in the prairies later this month.
