OSHAWA, Ont. - Madison Davies of the women's curling team and Canyon Myers of the men's curling team have been named the Durham College student-athletes of the week for the period ending February 8, 2026.
Davies, a General Arts & Science student, was a steady presence for the women's curling team at the 2026 OCAA Curling Championships, earning Second Team All-Star honours at lead. Davies helped the Lords advance to the final four after the team won two round robin games, finishing the championship in fourth place. Her strong sweeping, precise draws and reliable lead-off play set the tone throughout the event and contributed to Durham's continued progress on the provincial stage.
Myers, a Sport Management student, played a key leadership role for the men's curling team at the 2026 OCAA Curling Championships, earning Second Team All-Star recognition as a skip. Myers helped guide the Lords to a fourth-place finish after the team won three of five round robin games to secure a spot in the final four. His consistent shot-making and in-game decision-making were central to Durham's success.
With the completion of the 2026 OCAA Curling Championships, the Durham College varsity curling season has come to an end.
