BELLEVILLE, Ont. - Durham swept their season series with Loyalist on Wednesday night, earning a straight-sets victory on the road.

The opening frame set the tone for the match, as the two teams traded points through an extended back-and-forth battle. Durham stayed composed in key moments and pulled out a 33-31 win to take early control. 

That momentum carried into the second set, where the Lords built steady pressure through strong serving and balanced offence, closing out a 25-23 victory.

With confidence building, Durham delivered its most complete performance in the third set. The Lords jumped out early, limited Loyalist's scoring opportunities and finished the match with a decisive 25-15 win to complete the sweep.

Durham's offence was led by Elizabeth McFarland and Jessie Buck, who each recorded 12.0 points. McFarland finished with 11 kills and added a block, while Buck posted nine kills on 13 attempts for an impressive .692 hitting percentage.

Chelsea Oke also provided consistent production with 10 kills, while Maxine Felsbourg contributed 6.0 points and seven digs. 

Brooke Young guided the attack with 35 assists and added three kills of her own, helping keep the offence balanced throughout the match.

Defensively, the Lords were active across the court, recording 50 digs and six total blocks. Felsbourg, Jessica Docherty and Veronika Cavojska each collected seven digs.

Tia Chang and Buck combined for four blocks at the net, helping slow Loyalist's attack.

As a team, Durham hit .306 on the night, finishing with 45 kills.

The Lords have one match remaining on the regular season schedule as the Fleming Phoenix come to town on Saturday, February 7 at 1 p.m.
