Durham College Athletics

OSHAWA, Ont. – Stephane Ahanda (Cameroon) of the men's soccer team and Dondre Huggins (Scarborough, Ont.) of the men's basketball team have been named Durham College student-athletes of the week presented by Subway North Oshawa for the period ending November 12.
                 
Ahanda was named to CCAA men's soccer championship all-star team this past week in Nanaimo, B.C. after helping the Lords finish fifth in the country at the tournament. Ahanda was essential in the CCAA bronze quarter-final match win over the Ahuntsic Indiens, scoring the Lords third goal in three minutes to silence Ahuntsic and move on in the tournament. He also set up the first of the game, with a slick back-pass to captain Bruce Cullen (Pickering, Ont.) who spun around an Indiens' defender before Andres Murillo Marrugat tapped it into the goal. 
 
The Durham College athlete of the week award is presented by Subway located at 2069 Simcoe Street North in Oshawa.
