Stewart, a fifth-year sports management post-graduate certificate student, delivered a player of the game worthy performance in the Lords gold-medal winning match on Saturday afternoon. Defeating the west division champion Georgian Grizzlies 21-15 in the OCAAÂ championship final, Stewart came up with big tackles on defence, helping hold back the explosive Georgian offence which led the province in points scored this season. Playing in the crucial No. 8 position, Stewart also was a vital part of the Durham offence, breaking out for several long runs, while scoring the Lords second try of the contest.
