Day One Adidas Cup Results

 
Lords finish day one of the Adidas Cup with a 4-2 record
 
OSHAWA, Ont. – Day one of the 26th annual Durham College women's volleyball Adidas Cup has wrapped up with 12 teams taking part in round robin action at the CRWC on Friday.
 
The hosting Durham Lords finished with a round robin record of 4-2 and put themselves in a good position to advance to the semi-finals heading into day two. The Lords opened the day with a straight sets victory over Loyalist (25-16, 25-17) followed up with split matches against Mohawk (25-19, 14-25) and Canadore (22-25, 25-21).
 
The Georgian Grizzlies were the lone team with an unblemished record after day one as they finished at 6-0 with wins over Fleming, St. Clair and Algonquin.
 
Day two action will begin at the CRWC at 9 a.m. with the championship match scheduled for 6 p.m. Follow @durhamlords123 on twitter for the latest results.
