OCAA Women's Soccer: Seneca defeated Durham 6-0

OSHAWA, Ont. – The Durham College women's soccer team was in tough on Thursday night up against No. 8 ranked Seneca College. The Sting proved that they were worth that spot in the national polls as they put up six goals against the outmatched Lords.

This marked Seneca's second straight blow out victory, as they opened the year with a 7-0 win over Fleming this past weekend.

Seneca fired 14 shots on target in the win, keeping Durham goalkeeper Jessica Prytulka (Kingston, Ont.) busy all night. Meanwhile, the Lords could not break through the Seneca defence as they could only muster two shots. Rachel Dorland would earn the cleansheet for Seneca.

For the second consecutive game, Emma Pellegrino scored two goals, as she registered one in each half. Kristina Krekich, Hilda Chmait, Mariam El-Masari and Malissa Alli each had singles.

Durham is now 0-1-1 to start the season and Seneca improves to 2-0-0. Things will not get any easier for the green and gold as they head to Ottawa on Sunday for a match against the No. 2 ranked Algonquin Thunder (1-0-0).
