OSHAWA, Ont. – It was a roller coaster weekend for the Durham College baseball team who ended up going .500 in a pair of doubleheaders. The Lords lost the first two games of the weekend to the Humber Hawks but bounced back with a pair of wins over the George Brown Huskies.

With a 5-7 record, Durham sits in the fourth and holds on to the final playoff position in the OCAA standings. The Lords trail Fanshawe by 2.5 games and have eight more games remaining in their regular season.

Game two against the Hawks was eventful in a bad way for the Lords. After trailing 7-2, Durham's bats came alive as they erased the deficit and took a one run lead. In the bottom of the sixth inning, Humber would put 11 runs on the board for the mercy and earn their third straight win over the Lords.

On Saturday, Durham's fortunes' turned as they earned back-to-back victories over George Brown who entered the day 1.5 games back of the Lords.

Ryan Norris (Oshawa, Ont.) pitched a complete game in game one, while Ben deBoer (Kendal, Ont.) went 3-for-3 with three runs scored.

In game two, Jordan Edmonds (Horsham, UK) earned his first win in a Lords uniform as he allowed one earned run in five innings pitched. Jack Lang (Pickering, Ont.) and Aaron McQuillen (Ajax, Ont.) each went 2-for-3 in the victory.

Durham and George Brown will have a rematch on Tuesday night in Toronto.
