OCAA Men's Baseball: Durham defeated George Brown 16-0 OSHAWA, Ont. – The Durham College baseball team put ten runs on the board in the third inning to pave the way to a 16-0 win over the George Brown Huskies.
This marks the Lords (6-7) third straight win over George Brown (3-13) in three days, as they swept the season series 4-0 by a combined score of 39-6. The win also puts a little more separation between the two schools for the final playoff spot in the OCAA championship, which Durham is hosting from October 17-18 at Kinsmen Civic Memorial Stadium.

Thomas Fearon (Ajax, Ont.) was impressive in his first start of the season, as he pitched all five innings and allowed only two George Brown hits. More than half of his outs were K's, as he fanned eight Husky hitters.
Ben deBoer (Kendal, Ont.) went 3-for-3 at the plate for the second time in three games. The first-year catcher had two RBI, a run scored and reached base four times. He is leading the Lords with a .428 batting average this season.

Spencer Green's (Ajax, Ont.) night as he had a pair of doubles, scored two runs and drove in two runners.
Wesley Hardwick (Toronto, Ont.) was the other Lord with two hits as he went 2-for-3 with a run scored and two RBI.
Despite the 16-run outburst, Durham still left 12 runners on base. The Lords finished the night with 15 hits and no errors.
It will be a short turnaround for Durham as they head to North York on Wednesday for a doubleheader against the Seneca Sting. Seneca ahs struggled this season as they sit in the basement of the OCAA standings with a 1-14 record. This will be the first of four straight games between the two teams.
