Lords earn a point in season opener OCAA Women's Soccer: Durham tied St. Lawrence 0-0KINGSTON, Ont. – Making their 2014 OCAA season debut, the Durham College women's soccer team led by first year head coach
Ramon McIntosh, earned a 0-0 draw against the St. Lawrence Vikings.
Although the Lords went scoreless over the course of the game, they had a number of great scoring opportunities as they fired seven shots of target. Goalkeepers Jess Prytulka (Durham) and Sam Turcotte (St. Lawrence) earned the clean sheets and a point in the standings for their respective sides.
Kayla Hellam (Oshawa, Ont.) and
Samantha Anderson (Ajax, Ont.) did a good job for Durham up the middle, especially down the stretch with St. Lawrence pressing for the game winner in their home opener.
The Lords (0-0-1) will take part in the campus cup on Monday night against the UOIT Ridgebacks. Game time is 5 p.m. at Vaso's Field. Durham's next conference game is set for Thursday night against the Seneca Sting.
