Box Score OSHAWA, Ont. – The Durham College women's volleyball team kept to their winning ways during their home opener against the George Brown Huskies on Thursday night.
Yet to lose a set going into the match, the Lords kept that going as they defeated the Huskies 3-0 (25-17, 25-19, 25-18) at the Campus Recreation and Wellness Centre.
Jessica Broad (Courtice, Ont.) led Durham with eight kills and one service ace in the match.
Kristen Curtis (Frankford, Ont.) and
Emily Hacker (Cobourg, Ont.) each added seven kills, with Hacker also picking up three service aces and Curtis leading the team with three blocks.
Allison Marshall (Orillia, Ont.) and
Lucia Kalmeyer (Oshawa, Ont.) each had five kills.
The Huskies were led by Brianna Perry with seven kills and two service aces, while teammates Tiana Samuel and Audrey Chau each added five.
Durham College will now have the week off as their next game isn't until Saturday, Nov. 7 when the Algonquin Thunder visit Oshawa.
