Box Score OSHAWA, Ont. – The Durham College women's volleyball team has solidified first place in the OCAA east division after a 3-1 victory over the Seneca Sting on Thursday night at the CRWC.
On the night the program recognized and celebrated their five graduating seniors, the Lords were also able to celebrate winning the OCAA east division title.
Jessica Broad (Courtice, Ont.), a graduating senior this season, led the Lords with a game-high 17 points with 14 kills and three aces.
Allison Marshall (Orillia, Ont.) also had 14 kills in the match, alongside one service ace.
Kristen Curtis (Frankford, Ont.) continued her dominating presence at the net with four blocks. She also picked up eight kills.
Genevieve Potovszky led the Sting attack with nine kills and two aces, while Paulynne Reyes had a game-high four aces.
Alongside Broad, the Lords recognized Curtis, Romain,
Courtney Stoffers (Frankford, Ont.) and
Emily Hacker (Cobourg, Ont.) after the match with a short ceremony.
The team still has one more match before the OCAA championship in North Bay, as they travel to Barrie on Wednesday to face the Georgian Grizzlies. Durham will then have the week off as they prepare for the championship, which runs Feb. 25-27.
