OSHAWA, Ont. - Day two action at the Adidas Cup women's volleyball tournament saw the Durham Lords split their two matches, leading them to a spot in the third-place game.

After two long games yesterday, the Lords came out swinging as the defeated Canadore College Panthers (OCAA) in three straight sets (25-14, 29-27, 25-13) of their quarter-final match. Friday Durham finished round robin play in first place in Pool A, while Canadore finished second in Pool D.

Durham lost to the Mohawk Mountaineers (OCAA) in the championship semifinal match 3-1 (25-21, 13-25, 20-25, 22-25). With the victory Mohawk advanced to the gold medal game against the Fanshawe Falcons (OCAA). Both games are at 11:30 a.m.

Sunday will see Sherbrooke (RSEQ) vs. Seneca (OCAA) as well as Algonquin (OCAA) vs. Georgian (OCAA) to finish the consolation games, as well as:
Seventh place game: Canadore (OCAA) vs. CMU (MCAC)
Fifth place game: Loyalist (OCAA) vs. Sheridan (OCAA)
Third place game: Durham (OCAA) vs. Cambrian (OCAA)
Championship game: Mohawk (OCAA) vs. Fanshawe (OCAA)
