Lords look to build on Montreal Cup experience

MONTREAL, Que. – Despite not earning a win in their second preseason tournament of the year, the Durham College women's volleyball team is feeling good about their experience.

Over the two days the Lords only won two sets, but are still looking for the ideal lineup for when OCAA conference play gets underway in October.

"We had some success in New York and split at Sheridan, so we know we can be successful," said head coach Tony Clarke. "This weekend was some more trial and error, but we hope the girls realize the level we need to get to. We have work to do still, but with at least four more matches before the regular season, we feel we will be ready."

The weekend opened with 3-1 losses to Lionel-Groulx and Édouard-Montpetit, followed by 3-0 losses to André-Laurendeau and Bois-de-Boulogne on Sunday.

This Thursday the Lords are back in action in Ancaster against the Redeemer Royals.
  Overall Record: 4-6
Conference Record: 0-0

Next match: Thursday, Oct. 4 @ Redeemer Royals • 6 p.m. - Ancaster, Ont.
