OSHAWA, Ont. – For the first time since 2017 the Durham College women's volleyball team has a chance to win their home tournament.
The Lords won Saturday's quarter-final match 3-0 (25-17, 25-8, 25-11) over the Canadore Panthers to open the day, prior to knocking off the CMU Blazers of Winnipeg in the semifinal.
Their second match of the day was also a 3-0 result. The first set was the largest spread, 25-15, before the Blazers pushed the issue more in 25-21 and 25-22 losses.
Durham will face the Fanshawe Falcons, who defeated the Loyalist Lancers 3-1 in their semifinal. In 2017, the Lords won their home tournament over the Lancers. Fanshawe won the 2018 tournament against Mohawk.
First serve for the final is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. at the CRWC.
