MONTREAL, Que. - The Durham College women's volleyball team finished their weekend at the Montreal Cup with another 1-1 day, dropping Game 1 on Sunday to the Bois-de-Boulogne Cavaliers before defeating the Edouard-Montpetit Lynx.
Set scores in the morning loss were 25-16, 24-26, 21-25, 18-25, while the Game 2 win scores were 25-21, 27-25, 28-26.
First-year outside hitter
Emilie Kashur (Hamilton, Ont.) was named player of the match in the Lords tightly contested four set loss, while second-year setter
Georgi Williams (Whitby, Ont.) earned the honours in the Lords straight set Game 2 win.
The Lords continue their hefty preseason schedule next weekend at the Niagara Invitational. DC opens the tournament against the Humber Hawks and host Niagara Knights on Saturday, Oct. 5.
