OSHAWA, Ont. - The Durham College women's volleyball team went undefeated this weekend, winning the Adidas Cup championship on Sunday afternoon at the Campus Recreation and Wellness Centre.
Serving as host, the Lords claimed the tournament title for the first time since 2017, knocking off the Cambrian Golden Shield 3-1 in the final match of the annual exhibition tournament. Set scores for the final were 23-25, 25-18, 25-21, 25-10.

Georgi Williams (Whitby, Ont.) was named the tournament MVP after leading the Lords offence while also delivering key points from both the service line and setter position. Third-year middle
Cassidy Nicholson-Clarke (Ajax, Ont.) and fourth-year outside hitter
Jessica Joensen (Newcastle, Ont.) were honoured as tournament all-stars for their stellar play.
DC will return to regular season action on Friday, Jan. 10 as they travel to North York to challenge the Seneca Sting. First serve for the first match of the second half of the season is scheduled for 6 p.m. and will be available via
