OSHAWA, ON - Continuing their fall preseason schedule, the Durham College women's volleyball team fell in a tightly contested five set match versus Trent on Thursday evening at the CRWC. Set scores for the match were .24-26, 27-25, 24-26, 25-23, 8-15.
The Lords were led offensively by first-year outside hitter
Aislinn Pedersen (Hamilton, ON) who finished the night with 14 kills, while adding four service aces for 18 total points through five sets played. Veteran outside hitter and setter
Katie Stewart (Gananoque, ON) also played well for DC with seven kills, one ace, six digs, and 21 assist, while fellow setter
Jill Batsford (Kingston, ON) helped to guide the Lords attack with 36 total assists. Lords fourth-year libero
Devyn Fraser recorded 15 digs to lead Durham defensively.
Durham will now hit the road for more preseason action, beginning with a trip to Hamilton to face the Mohawk Mountaineers this Saturday, Oct. 30. First serve for the exhibition contest is scheduled for 2 p.m.
