OSHAWA, ON - The Durham Lords played host to the Toronto Varsity Blues on Monday night at Kinsmen Stadium, falling 11-6 in the preseason contest.

Once again, veteran infielder Griffin Oliver (Oshawa, ON) led the way at the plate for the Lords with three hits in the outing versus OUA competition. Meanwhile, both Ryan Laird (Oshawa, ON) and Ryan Mattes (Whitby, ON) showed power in the batter's box with each recording doubles in the high-scoring contest.

Next up for the Lords is their season opener, traveling to Aurora to challenge the Seneca Sting this Friday, Sept. 17. First pitch is scheduled for 6 p.m. in the doubleheader, which is set to be streamed on OCAA LIVE.
