SCARBOROUGH, ON – With a three set win to kickoff the weekend, the Durham Lords women's volleyball team win their eighth in as many matches on Saturday with a 3-0 victory over the Centennial Colts.
Centennial closed the gap more and more each set after losing 25-12 in the opener, but couldn't find a way to put 25 points on the Lords. Durham took the second set 25-19 before an incredibly close third set. Down 24-23, the Colts put the ball out of bounds and the Lords took a 25-23 victory to win the set and the match.

Also notably on the offensive side of the ball, Cassidy Unrau (Port Coquitlam, BC) single-handedly gave her team three points via service aces, while Brooke Young (Chestermere, AB) and Jessie Anatol (Ajax, ON) each served two aces.
Young and Jill Batsford (Kingston, ON) once again led the team in assists, with 14 and 13, respectively.
