Both sides scored a pair of runs in the first inning, and after the hosts scored one in the second to take the lead, the Lords had a big three-run third inning to overtake Humber and they didn't look back.
Durham took a 6-3 lead in the top of the sixth when Nick King scored his second run of the game. The Hawks were only able to add one more to their total and the Lords took the opening game of the day 6-4.
