OSHAWA, Ont. - The women's volleyball team at Durham College delivered a dominant performance on Wednesday night, sweeping the Loyalist Lancers in three straight sets (25-18; 25-19; 25-18).

Defensively, the Lords were sharp, recording a total of 47 digs and eight blocks. Katherine Konkle was a standout at the net with six solo blocks, effectively stifling Loyalist's attempts to generate momentum. Alisia Lush led the team in digs with 11, while Kate Quemby added 10 digs.

The Lords' aggressive serving led to nine aces overall, putting added pressure on Loyalist's serve receive and contributing to Durham's control of the game. Brooke Young led the way with three.

Jessie Buck led with an impressive nine kills on 17 attempts, hitting at a .412 percentage, while Elizabeth McFarland added seven kills with a .294 hitting percentage and contributed nine digs on defence.

Durham are in action next at Seneca College on Wednesday, November 13 at 8:00 PM before returning home to the Campus Recreation & Wellness Centre on Tuesday, November 19 at 6:00 PM against the Centennial Colts.
