Box Score BARRIE, Ont. - The women's volleyball team are back in the win column, with their fourth three-set sweep in their last five matches, defeating the Georgian Grizzlies on Saturday afternoon.
After two relatively competitive sets to begin the game, resulting in 25-19 and 25-20 wins for the Lords, it was a quick third set as Durham put it away 25-15 to take the match in straight sets
Chelsea Oke and Elizabeth McFarland both posted double-digit kills on the day, with 12 and 10, respectively. Oke also notably finished the day as the team-leader in digs with nine, while McFarland had a team-high three service aces.
Katherine Konkle and Kate Quemby both had notably strong days offensively, with six kills each. Quemby also recorded eight digs while Erin Black and Maxine Felsbourg each served a pair of aces.
Also a standout, Erin Black finished the afternoon with 33 assists, surpassing her previous season best of 21, playing in all three sets.
The Lords are back on the court on Sunday at 1:00 PM as they continue their road trip to North Bay to take on the Canadore Panthers.
