Mackintosh signs with DC baseball

OSHAWA, Ont. - Drew Mackintosh is taking his baseball talents to Oshawa, putting pen to paper and officially committing to the Durham College men's baseball program.

The six-foot right-handed pitcher from Whitby is set to join the Lords roster for the 2025 season, adding to the depth of a championship-caliber team.

"I'm looking forward to playing competitive ball with other great athletes and coaches," Mackintosh said.

Mackintosh arrives at Durham with high expectations after winning the LOSSA championship in 2023 and 2025 for Sinclair Secondary School.

He also brings plenty of prior experience playing for the Toronto Mets and Whitby Canadians.

"Drew is a strong competitor with a great work ethic and a winning pedigree," said head coach Scott Cawker. "He's coming from a successful program and has played at a high level with the Mets and Canadians, so we're excited to see how he grows in our system. He's going to be a great fit in our bullpen and in our clubhouse."

Mackintosh's pitching arsenal will prove to be a valuable addition to the Lords' bullpen, where he'll have the opportunity to develop his skills alongside a group of talented and experienced teammates.

With the addition of Mackintosh, the Lords continue to build a roster that can compete at the highest level in the OCAA.

Drew will be studying in the Mechanical Technician - Elevating Devices program in September.
