OSHAWA, Ont. - The Durham College men's baseball team has announced the signing of Tye Uher.

A native of Pickering, Ontario, Uher is set to join the Lords as a pitcher and add depth to their rotation. 

With his experience playing for teams like the Toronto Mets and Whitby Elite, Uher brings a wealth of talent and potential to the program.

Uher's all-time favorite baseball memory is when the pitcher a home run himself, a testament to his offensive capabilities. 

However, it's his pitching prowess that has caught the attention of the Durham College coaching staff.

"Tye has a strong arm and a competitive spirit that will be a welcome addition to our pitching staff," said Head Coach Scott Cawker. "We are excited to see what he can do on the mound for us."

In addition to his physical abilities, Uher is known for his work ethic and positive attitude, traits that will be invaluable to the Lords both on and off the field. 

He is eager to contribute to a program that has a strong reputation in the community and is looking forward to being part of a team that shares his passion for the game.

"I chose Durham College because some of my friends are coming here, and I've heard it has a great community," Uher said. "I'm excited to be part of a team that has a winning attitude and is committed to success."

As he enters his collegiate career, Uher is focused on improving his skills and helping the team achieve its goals. 

He is ready to embrace the challenges and opportunities that come with playing at the next level and is determined to make the most of his time at Durham College.

When he gets to campus in September, the Uxbridge Secondary School graduate will be studying in the Electrical Engineering Technician program in Whitby.
