OSHAWA, Ont. – Durham College has named Warren Williams the 13

"Warren brings a wealth of experience and a strong track record of developing student-athletes," said Scott Dennis, Director, Athletics & Recreation. "His commitment to leadership, education, and recruiting aligns well with the direction of our athletics program and we're excited about what he will bring as we look ahead to the future."
Beyond the collegiate game, Williams has built a reputation as one of Ontario's most experienced and respected coaches within the provincial development system. He has held numerous head and assistant coaching roles with Ontario Basketball provincial teams, including multiple medal-winning performances at Canada Basketball National Championships.
His work has also extended into elite club and academy settings, most recently as head coach with Redmond Basketball Academy in the Ontario Scholastic Basketball Association.
Williams' coaching résumé spans more than three decades and includes championship success at the secondary school, club, provincial and national levels. In 2019, he was recognized with the Coaches Association of Ontario's Good to Great Award, honouring excellence in long-term athlete development and leadership.
Off the court, Williams is a full-time physical education teacher and holds an Advanced Coaching Diploma from the Canadian Sport Institute of Ontario.
With months to recruit and plan, Williams enters the role focused on building a sustainable, competitive program aligned with Durham College's values of academic excellence, leadership and community engagement.
