Inducted November 15, 2024
Jimmy Kuzmanovski had an outstanding four-season career as a men's soccer player at Durham College from 1997 to 2000. During this period, the team was a formidable force, boasting a dominant 29-7-0 regular season record and an overall mark of 51-15-0.
As a freshman in 1997, Kuzmanovski helped lead the men's soccer team to its fourth OCAA gold medal in program history, followed by a strong showing at the CCAA national championship, where they finished fourth. His contributions were pivotal once again in 1999, when the team captured bronze at both the OCAA and CCAA championships.
Kuzmanovski remains one of Durham's all-time prolific goal scorers, netting 21 goals in just 26 matches. At the time of his graduation, he ranked third on the men's soccer all-time scoring list, a position he continues to hold to this day.
His individual achievements were equally impressive. In 1999, Kuzmanovski was named the OCAA Central East Scoring Champion, earned league all-star honors, and was selected as a CCAA All-Canadian. That same year, he was recognized as Durham's MVP in men's soccer and crowned Male Athlete of the Year.
Following his collegiate career, Kuzmanovski continued playing at a high level, joining the semi-professional Canadian Professional Soccer League with the Oshawa Flames and Mississauga Olympians. His journey also included a loan stint with the Toronto Lynx in the USL A-League, a former professional league within the CONCACAF system.
