Edward "Ted" Harrison
Inducted April 11th, 1997

Edward 'Ted' Harrison was born in Oshawa in 1950 and began what would become a long association with Durham College as both a student-athlete, coach and advisor in 1971. A valuable member of the Basketball team in 1971-72 and 1972-73 he led the Lords in scoring each year while being named Most Valuable Player his second season. Ted completed a successful collegiate career by being named Athlete of the Year in 1972-73. After graduating he stepped into the men's basketball coaching ranks beginning in 1975. During a six year span he had numerous successful seasons including capturing the OCAA East Division title in 1978-79.

Taking a well deserved break from coaching in 1981, Ted later returned in 1984 to record two of his most successful seasons as coach when the Lords won back-to-back OCAA Silver Medals. Actively involved in the college through basketball camps, the alumni association, and as a basketball advisor, Ted remained with the college in a volunteer capacity for 7 years before heading west to pursue an employment and coaching opportunity in Calgary. His contribution, dedication and loyalty to Durham College spanned over 20 years
