Tammy Baker
Inducted April 8th, 2005

Tammy Baker was born in Oshawa, Ontario in 1973 and began her dominating collegiate career at Durham in 1992, following many high school achievements at Eastdale Collegiate. Tammy made an immediate impact on the DC Soccer program. As a member of the DC Women’s Soccer team, she was named OCAA League all-star in 1993-94 and was instrumental in leading the program to their first ever Provincial Medal (Silver), only a year after soccer became a full varsity sport here. In addition, she helped the Lords win a Bronze medal the following year. Tammy was Rookie of the year in 1992-93; an OCAA Scoring Champion in 1993-94; OCAA Central Division Scoring Champion twice (1992-93 & 1993-94); and named an OCAA Championship All-Star in 1993-94.

Her stellar 2 year collegiate career saw her score a career total 19 goals (which ranks 15th All-time in OCAA History) She capped things off by being named a CCAA All-Canadian in 1993-94 (first ever DC Women’s Soccer player to receive this honour). She is considered one of the best if not THE best women’s soccer players in DC history.
