Inducted April 11th, 1997

Vaso Vujanovic was born in 1941 in Yugoslavia and began his career at Durham, Vaso became Head Coach of the Lords Soccer program in 1973 and spent the next 17 years guiding the team to numerous successful seasons. At great soccer player in his own day growing up in Yugoslavia, his coaching record doesn't just speak for itself, it issues a profound statement about his abilities.

From 1973 to 1989 he amassed 128 career victories against just 35 losses and seven ties, a phenomenal winning percentage of .774. Among those totals are a pair of Ontario Colleges Athletic Association Championships in 1980 and 1988, five Silver medals, five Bronze medals and two trips to the CCAA National Championships. The Lords failed only once to qualify for the provincial championships in those 17 years. A great number of talented players have had the opportunity to receive Vaso's guidance over the years and help build what was and continues to be a truly outstanding Nationally ranked soccer program. Despite his numerous achievements, Vaso's most memorable moment came in winning the 1980 OCAA Gold Medal.
